El Verbo Gustar

The verb Gustar literally means "to be pleasing"
In English the equivalent is "to like"

There are two forms of Gustar that we are going to learn today.

"Gusta"  = singular nouns
           = infinitives

"Gustan" = plural nouns 


Ejemplos: 
  • Me gusta la playa. (I like the beach.)
  • Me gustan las olas. (I like the waves.)
  • Me gusta viajar. (I like to travel.)
Note: Remember to use definite or indefinate articles with your nouns.
Verbs stay in the infinitive form.

Más Ejemplos:
  • Te gusta la pizza. (You like the pizza.)
  • Le gustan las uvas. (He or She likes grapes.)
  • Nos gusta jugar videojuegos. (We like to play videogames.)
  • Les gusta la película. (They like the movie.)

Note: If you do not like something, just add a "no" in front of the sentence.

Ejemplo:

No me gusta la playa. (I do not like the beach.)
