In United States, there are over 2,500 national landmarks. About a quarter of these national landmarks can be found in states of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New York. Seventy-four of them are located in Washington, D.C. or District of Columbia, the nation's captial. There are 268 national landmarks in New York.  New York City is enormous city.  It is also city that houses many of the national landmarks in the state. Some of these national landmarks in New York are physical features, or natural.  One example is Adirondack Park in the Adirondack Mountains. tallest of these mountains is Mount Marcy.  Other national landmarks in New York are human features, or created by people.  example of a human feature is a building in a city. A national landmark that is human feature is Empire State Building. In the middle of busy New York City, there is huge park, Central Park.  Central Park is on list of National Landmarks and is just one of many in New York City.
