Multi-media uses in the classroom can include many different kinds of tools, such as the integration of text, video, graphics and animation to enhance learning by students.  An example of multi-media integration would be
a virtual field trip that students can "go on" like the one we made for social studies or something as simple as a power point presentation.  Using multi-media in the classroom can initiate many types of learning, not just on the computer.  It can help students learn to work together in groups and also teach them the importance in researching and presentation.  Students can be creative and make their own choices when using multi-media to learn.  To use multi-media activities in the classroom it requires a lot of planning, and the teacher must know what objectives he/she is looking for.  Teachers must be "experts" in the multi-media technology if they want to effectively use it in the classroom.  It is an great idea to use multi-media in the classroom it truly enhances the children's learning and gives them an opportunity to work with something they may never have in their homes.
