 Nosotros: -amos
Tú: -aste
 Vosotros: -asteis
Usted/él/ella: -ó
 Ustedes/ellos/ellas: -aron

Example: Hablar-to speak

Yo hablé Nosotros hablamos
Tú hablaste Vosotros hablasteis
Ud./él/ella habló Uds./ellos/ellas hablaron

3. The preterite is used for actions that were part of a chain of events.
4. The preterite is used to state the beginning or end of an action.
