El Flamenco
Music
plays an importan role in every county. It envolops the people's
feelings and way of life, and is a form of expression that can be
traced back to the dawn of humanity. Flamenco, widely know for
it's style of dance, also consists of guitar playing and singing.
It embodies passion, which is the one word that Spaniards use to
describe themselves.Flamenco
is specific to Andalucia, and has devloped over the centuries from folk
music and folk dance. More widely known among tourists is the
Flamenco dance, with the bailadores (dancers) wearing the traditional
flamenco dance clothing as they rhythmically stomp their feet and clap
their hands.A
visitor can easily encounter flamenco in Granada by travelling the
Albaicin neighborhood. The Granadinos have transformed caves into
restuarants and bars, many of which provide live Flamenco
entertainment. Certain caves are reserved solely for Flamenco
productions, more for tourist attraction than for the locals.
