Classwork/Participation: 15% It is my belief that without practice, success in Math is not possible. Therefore, we will be doing as much practice in class as possible. Most of the time, this work will be collected and graded for completeness only. Quiz: 15% There will usually be one quiz every week. Homework: 15% Homework will be given each class. It will be due the following class, no late work accepted for unexcused absences. Legal absences, including suspensions, need to be made up within a week. It is the STUDENT’S responsibility to ask for the work missed. Homework will be graded on a 1-5 scale. (Leaving 5 days to make up missed work) Tests: 25% Tests will be given after the completion of each unit. Each test will consist of extended-response and multiple-choice questions for each unit as well as review questions Finals/Benchmarks: 30% There will be FOUR district-wide tests, one each marking-period. Each final is cumulative. They consist of multiple-choice questions and extended response questions. These exams are formatted to resemble the targeted Regents. |  |
