Grading:
- Grading is based on the following: homework, class work,
projects, presentations, group work, participation, oral exams,
quizzes, and tests.
- Quizzes will be announced and given weekly.
- Homework will be assigned daily and collected.
Final grade:
1st quarter: 25%
2nd quarter: 25%
3rd quarter: 25%
4th quarter: 25% : 10% final exam and 15% exam, quizzes, homework,
participation

Classroom Policies:
- Be on time!There will be daily assignments to be completed in
the beginning of each class that you will need sufficient amount of
time to do.
Be prepared! You will not need your textbook everyday so listen to when
you will need it. You must bring your binder with your notes everyday
in order to get participation points. As always, you must have a pen or
pencil.
Be respectful! Show respect to everyone in the class and also the
classroom material because we will be learning about different cultures.
Homework:
Homework is
due at the beginning of class. If you are in class and do not have
homework to hand in, you have one day to make it up for half credit. I
will allow an equal amount of days as were missed, to make up homework
for excused absences. It is your responsibility to get any assignments
or notes when you come back. It is YOUR responsibility to take
charge of your own grade.
Cheating:
If you are
caught cheating on tests or quizzes, you will receive an automatic
ZERO. Your parent/guardian will also be notified, along with the
principal. You must also serve a Saturday detention. If you
are caught cheating on homework, both people will receive zeros on the
homework. Both students will receive Saturday detentions.
Cell Phones:
Texting
during class is not allowed and will also result in the phone being
taken away and a referral to in school planning. You can pick it up at
the end of the day. If seen texting during a quiz or test you will
automatically receive a zero.
