Creating
project one has been an
interesting experience. We were required to use Netscape Composer to
create our
Webquest portfolio. We learned how to use different fonts, colors and
pictures
to personalize our portfolio. We learned the importance of saving our
work
correctly and in the proper file location. Adding in links was a tricky
part of
this project. At first it was very difficult to link all of the pages
together
because there seemed to be so many steps, but after doing this over and
over
again, it has become simple. When we were satisfied with our project we
were
then required to use WS_FTP to publish our portfolio. Once your
portfolio is
published people on the internet can view it.
I would be
able to
use the information I have learned in this class in my own classroom in
many ways.
Learning how to create a product that you can add any information you
want and
make it easily accessible would work well in a classroom setting. It
would be
simple to create many different lessons on the computer and have them
ready
whenever you want to use them. All you have to do is pop in your USB
port or
type in the website and you have a lesson all ready for the students to
view.
Students could also add on their own images or idea to a classroom
website, or
have a classroom website for parents.
