Hello! Welcome to an exciting new year in the 3rd grade.  I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you. Listed below are some of our classroom expectations, goals and policies.

Here I will post our weekly learning goals for each of our subjects.

Classroom Expectations & Rules
:
Most Importantly...
Homework Policy:

There will be homework assigned Monday through Thursday.  Every day we will spend time copying the homework into our homework assignment book.  Homework should take no longer than 30 minutes for students to complete.  Also, at the beginning of each month the students will be given a monthly reading log.  On each day of the month there will be a reading instruction for the students.  For example, one day may say “Read for 15 minutes in your favorite spot” or “Read for 15 minutes with a hat on.”  Each day the student reads, a parent or guardian needs to sign to show their completion. These reading logs should be returned when they are all completed.  If they are brought back signed and completed, there will be a reward.  Homework assignments will reinforce, supplement and complement the learning that took place in the classroom.  This practice will help increase the students' confidence in their abilites which will lead to even greater motivation and success.
