KALEICI

Also known as Old Antalya, the small historic section called Kaleiçi (KAH-leh-ee-chee) at the center of the sprawling modern city was the Roman town, then the Bizantine, then the Seljuk Turks, and finally the OttomanTurkish town.

The huge, modern city of Antalya didn't really start to appear until after World War II. Until then, Kaleiçi was Antalya, with its massive stone walls, meandering streets, and picturesque old houses built so close they often overshadow the narrow lanes.
Today Kaleiçi is a protected district, with preservation of historic buildings required, and strict regulations on any new building. You will see some fairly ugly modern buildings in Kaleiçi, but they are being eliminated as the possibilities arise.

                                           DUDEN FALLS

The upper Duden Water Falls are found 12 km from the city centre of Antalya. The river flows at ground level and suddenly drops 20 meters in a dramatic yet beautiful fall into a canyon.
The falls lay in a picnic area with many green plants and trees. In this natural oasis you can consume the drinks and food you have brought with you at one of tables that are free to use. There is a trail around the area which leads you into a cave where you get a different angle behind the fall. In the cave you also find the “Whishing Hole“ fulfilling your deepest dreams.
