About Me
Hi my
name is Tanya Pickett, and this is my second year at SUNY Cortland, I
came here as a transfer student from Broome Community College, in
Binghamton, N.Y. I am majoring Education-Early
Childhood/Childhood, with a concentration in Humanities. After I
receive my Bachelors' Degree, I plan on working on my Masters'
Degreee immediately. I am interested in focusing on Special
Education for my Masters, I would love to work with Elementary aged
children.
I live in
Vestal, N.Y. with my husband Rob of almost 10 years, and my three children:
Kendra-10, Collin-5, Kayla-3. I have a dog named Holly who is a black lab mix,
she is 2. For fun I take Karate with my son Collin (we're still both white
belts), and enjoy watching him play Hockey, watching both Kendra and Kayla
dance, and watching Kendra play travel Soccer. This is my second year teaching
religious education to 5th. & 6th. graders.
I love to
collect 3 things: The Three Monkies- "Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil"
(though they are difficult to find), collector spoons (I have over 100, however,
I haven't been to half of those places), and
Dolphins.
