roasting -- to bake (meat or other food) uncovered, especially in an oven.




open fire -- (1) a state, process, or instance of combustion in which fuel or other material is ignited and combined with oxygen, giving off light, heat, and flame; (2) heat used for cooking, especially the lighted burner of a stove, or an outdoor fire for warmth or cooking.

spy -- look; a person who keeps close and secret watch on the actions and words of another or others.

phrase -- a sequence of two or more words arranged in a grammatical construction and acting as a unit in a sentence.
