Project 7 - PuzzleMaker and Microsoft
Paint
Before learning how to do this project, I had never heard of
puzzlemaker.com before. This is great resource for the classroom,
I had always wondered how teachers made their word searches and other
puzzles. I worked on this project by myself, the first thing that I did
was I went to www.puzzlemaker.com and made a word search about plant
parts. I then took that word search and copied and pasted it into
microsoft word. After pasting the word search into Microsoft Word
I pressed the print screen button and then pasted the print screen into
Paint. In Paint I cut out just the word search and saved it
as a paint document. By doing this I could make the visual
picture that you see above. Then taking the actual word search
that I saved as a word document i could link it to the picture
above. So that when you click on the picture it takes you right
to the word search.
I will integrate this into the classroom by teaching the children how
to make their own puzzles on puzzlemaker.com. This will benefit
them by giving them another technology trick that they will be
competent in using.
