Intensifying
Adverbs: A special kind of adverb that makes another word stronger or weaker in meaning. The examples that are on this site make the meaning stronger. For example, if I say "I am hungry," I might be a little hungry or I might be a lot hungry. If I say "I am very hungry!" then you know that I am a lot hungry! Very changes the meaning of hungry so that it is stronger. |
