In this project I created my homepage. I used NVU for the first time in creating my ePortfolio. At first using NVU was very overwhelming because I was unsure of how to work all of its elements, but after "playing around" for a few days I have figured it out! I still have a lot to learn, but now I am more confident in working with the web design process.
In our society today technology is growing rapidly. Young children are learning how to use computers and it is important as a future educator that I keep up with them also. Computers are a great means of communication within a classroom setting. They provide a great way of keeping students as well as parents/guardians up to date with classroom activities. For example, having the classroom schedule or syllabus is a wonderful way to keep students and parents/guardians up to date, and it is something they can access whenever need be!
Having my own professional web page is a great way for me to compile my work, references, resume, and projects and to put it out for anyone to see. This is a way for me to capture myself, what I have learned and what I have yet to learn all in one website. I am excited to continue my journey in web design!
