Project # 8
Digital
Story Telling Project
Annotation
My digital story telling project was my favorite assignment this
semester. I was introduced to PhotoStory 3 for Windows a few
weeks ago and I haven't been able to stop using it since! Photography
has always been a big part of my life and this assignment allowed me to
share and express my love for it. PhotoStory 3 was an easy program to
learn. All you needed to create your own story were photographs,
captions, and music. It reminded me of making a PowerPoint almost
because you given the option of choosing which colors, fonts, and
tranisitons you preferred.
In order to create my own PhotoStory I, first had to
import pictures and save them to my progressing story. I was also able
to edit the pictures or add effects to them. Next, I went through and
added a caption to each picture explaining what was going on it that
picture. After that I was able to apply many different transitions. I
then moved on to adding music. This was the hardest part for me. I
found myself very frustrated because the music I wanted would not work
for my PhotoStory outside of my own computer at home. My PhotoStory was
about my boyfriend, Anthony's band. Therefore, I wanted his band's
music playing throughout the entire story. However, the files of his
music were not MP3's so I could apply one of his songs. His music works
at home to view this story but I had to apply different music while in
Cortland for the first half of my PhotoStory.
Overall, I truly enjoyed this project and learned a lot from it. I will
definitely use the concepts i learned from this assignment in future
years, as well as in my classroom.
