We have learned that the theme of Good vs. Evil is very prominent throughout this novel.  Let’s look into some other information about this very controversial theme.  Let’s look at the major characters in the book and figure out who represents good and who represents evil.

Here you can find an interview of three white women who grew up in the South around the same time that this novel takes place.  Do you think that they experienced first hand good and evil? Write about how their experiences could compare to Jem and Scout’s experiences in the novel.  What do you think your town would be like if you lived like these women? Do you think you would have grown up to be a different person?
