The Flag and its Meaning

 

50 starts represent the 50 states     13 stripes represent the 13 original colonies
The colors on the flag:
red- courage (not being scared)

white- liberty, equality
blue- faithful

By saying the Pledge of Allegiance you are promising to  be loyal to the flag, the country, and the government.
To show respect, people stand as the Pledge of Allegiance is said. You may recite the words, if you choose.
