Webquest Project
For this project, we had to choose a group and create a Webquest.
This project would be used for both EDU314 as well as for Dr. Lin
Lin's Social Studies Methods class. As a group Kristene, Nina,
Katherine and I chose to do our Webquest about neighborhoods and their
differences. We began by becoming more familiar with how to make tables
in NVu. We all created different pages, and then combined them at the
end but all used a similar background and table scheme. We
included links to different websites, which could be helpful for the
students while they are researching the different neighborhoods.
Our group included a grading rubric, which would be helpful to
teachers using this Webquest.
I think that this assignment would be very helpful
in the classroom. It is an entire lesson, including the standards used,
all outlined and laid out ready to use. It is important for students to
understand that every neighborhood is different, and has different
landmarks and things for kids to do.
