Olive-green to brown fruticose lichen, thallus caespitose, branches thin soralia abundant, fissural and white, covered in isidioid spinules. All structures with fumarprotocetraric acid (P+ red).Found in northern temperate forests on conifers and occasionally on rocks. This specimen was collected from the secondary succession forest from a small eastern hemlock (Tsuga canadensis).
