Primary squamules persistant or dissapearing, crenate or incised margins. Podetia cup-bearing with flared goblet-shaped cups witch may proliferate apothecia at the margins. Base corticate. fumarprotocetraric acid (P+ Red).Commonly found on soil, rotting logs, at the bases of trees, and on this soil covering rocks. This specimen was collected on decorticate wood in he climax forest area in a low light environment.
