Squamules persistant. Podetia short with red apothecia at the tips. Granular soredia appearing on podetia. UV+ Blueish.Found in eastern North America, usually on rotting logs, stumps or bases of trees, and occasionally on humus rich soil. This specimen was collected from the base of an eastern hemlock (Tsuga canadensis) in the secondary succession forest area.
