Primary squamules disappearing, tall, dichotomously branched podetia. Surface ecorticate with granular soredia in apical parts of the branch. Apothecia small and brown at tips of podetia. Thallus with fumarprotocetraric acid (P+ red).Commonly found on soil in edge habitats as well an on this soil covering rocks and in forested areas. This specimen was collected on this soil covering a rock in the secondary succession forest area, growing in a relatively high light environment.
