Yellow-green fruticose lichen with a pendent thallus. Branches irregular and somewhat flattened, soredia diffuse to coarsely granular. Thallus with usnic acid (KC+ yellowish).While uncommon in both secondary succession and climax forest areas this fruticose lichen is the most common of all other fruticose species discovered in both forest areas. Often found on branches of trees in high light habitats.
