Raised foliose thallus with broad rounded brown lobes. Upper surface pale olive green. Occasionally squamulose in center with cylindrical isidia. Lower surface dark and moderately rhizinate. Uncommon apothecia. Medulla with lecanoric acid ( C+ red).Found in northern temperate forests growing on trees occurring in both the secondary succession and climax forest areas. This sample was collected from an apple tree (Malus domestica) in the secondary succession forest area in a high light environment.
