Narrow lobed mineral grey foliose lichen. Marginal soredia present. upper surface with white maculae, lower surface pale with pale-brownish rhizines. Apothecia common. No lichen substances. This small foliose lichen is relatively common in both secondary succession and climax forest areas, however it is more commonly found in secondary succession forest. This specimen was collected from white ash (Fraxinus americana) in the secondary succession area.
