Yellow-green broad lobed foliose lichen. Found on rock. lower surface back with simple rhizines. apothecia common and sub-stipitate. Medulla with stictic acid complex (K+ yellow>reddish) (P+ orange).This specimen was collected from a rock in a clearing in the secondary succession forest area of Hoxie Gorge Preserve. Often found growing on rocks in areas of relatively high light, it can be found in both the secondary succession as well as the climax forest area.
