Hi, my name is Alanna Hartman. I am a senior at SUNY Cortland. I am majoring in Early Childhood/Childhood with a concentration in Social Sciences.
I have all intentions of graduating from Cortland in the Spring of 2009, after my student teaching.  I have been nominated to be apart of the National Honors Society on Cortland Campus, Kappa Betta Pi as well as Tau Sigma. I want to continue my education to get my masters from either SUNY Cortland or Binghamton University. I want to study Special Education as my Masters degree program.

I attended Broome Community College from August 2004 to December 2007, graduating with my degree. I transferred to Cortland in January of 2008, on the Presidents List and a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

*I have recently become engaged to my boyfriend, Michael, of seven years Christmas Day of 2007. He is the light of my life and I am so happy to have him in my life. Although engaged, its going to be a while before we actually get married because he is going to be serving in Iraq in a few months. * 
*My friends are such a huge piece of my life, at home as well as in Cortland. I am grateful to have them.*

*I do have one other love in my life. His name is Samwise, or Sammy, and he is my precious puppy ( but now, when I say puppy, he is more of a miniature bear...)Sammy is a purebred golden retriever and he is the sweetest dog in the world. I use the poor dog as a pillow and he just doesn't even care.*
