About Me

My
name is Jenna Hayes. I'm from a small town called Bainbridge, New
York, about halfway between Oneonta and Binghamton. I commute
twice a week to Cortland from an apartment I share with my
boyfriend--about an hour away. I have a small family who I live
near and am very close to. I also have two little brothers who
have played a major part in shaping the person I have become. I
consider myself very lucky to have the amazing family and friends I do
and I don't know where I would be without their constant love and
support.
I am currently in my junior year at SUNY Cortland. I am majoring
in Childhood Education simply because teaching is something I have
always known I wanted to do. I truly believe that teachers have a
bigger impact on the world than any other profession. After all,
the future of our children lies in their hands. I have worked at
a daycare center with toddlers for three years, which has only deepened
my passion for teaching. No other job has ever been so
challenging OR rewarding. The bottom line is I could not imagine
a life for myself that didn't include working with children every day.
Other than that, I love being active and spending time outdoors
whenever possible. Fall is my favorite time of year. I also
like to read, write, shop, dance, and above all, live my life to the
fullest.
