Reflection on the Journey of Learning about Technology
During this course, I have grown alot and didn't
expect this computer class would be difficult. It was diffucult for me
to follow the directions and it took plenty of time for me to figure
out what was being asked of me to do. I became frustrated and wanted to
give up because I felt I wasn't grasping the information. Its really
hard to learn on the computer with other things going on in the class.
The professor suggested you spend time out of class to complete your
assignments. I familiarize myself with the main program we used which
is NVU. This program was used throughout the entire course and I
learned many useful tools to help guide me in making my eportfolio.
The project I most enjoyed was Web Quest and it helped me understand
what was needed to teach my future students. It was most difficult
finding what you wanted to teach and how to teach it. What would your
students get out of the information that is being taught? I also had a
fun time learning from my two classmates Donna and Nicky because
without them I would have been confused. It was useful for us to get to
know each other on a different level. I wanted to thank them for their
time and support in helping me.
The project I had the most fun with is Photo Story. I didn't get in
depth with my story but it was fun designing it. I enjoyed taking a
look at other students story and it was interesting to see something
about their personal life.
I wanted to use Power Point software because I'm not familiar with the
program. I thought it would be nice to use this source of information
to design something useful for students to use.
The overall learning objective for the course help me recognize to be
more creative in my ideas. I learned useful techniques to use for
becoming a teacher in the future.
