Project #8: Reflections
Throughout this semester I have learned a lot about various programs on
the computer. I was comfortable with basic programs on the computer,
but I was never technologically advanced. I did not know how to
accomplish many of the projects we have completed in this class before
it started. For this reason, I am proud of everything I achieved this
semester. I am now very comfortable with the program Nvu and how to
publish my work onto a website.
My favorite part of this course was the
digital story. I find that this project will be the one I most use in
the future. I have already started making new digital photo stories for
my friends and family. Other projects such as the webquest and the word
search will be beneficial for me as a future teacher. These projects
can be done right in the classroom to help the children learn. Children
have become very familiar with technology, therefore, it is a useful
tool to grab their attention.I enjoyed working with a partner on some
of the prjects. I found that working with a partner eased the
frustration because we were able to help each other. Together we were
always able to solve our problems.
I am still not fully
comfortable with Google Sites. The most frustrating part of this course
was making sure every link and every image was successful on the
website. I believe that overcoming my frustrations with a little
help was part of my learning experience. I hope that I will be able to
pass on all of the information on technology I have learned to my
future students.
