Kofi A. Bruce Vice President; Treasurer

Kofi Bruce was appointed vice president, corporate treasurer of General Mills in May 2009. He has responsibility for the company’s financing activities, insurance programs, and global cash management and financing.

Prior to joining General Mills in 2009, Mr. Bruce worked at Ecolab where he held several finance leadership roles, including the role of vice president and treasurer, which he held until joining General Mills. Prior to his career at Ecolab, he worked at Ford Motor Company in various treasury, corporate development, and control positions. In addition, Bruce also has professional experience working in merchant banking and venture capital in South Africa as well as in mortgage banking in the U.S.

Bruce serves on the board of directors of the East Side Learning Center, a partnership with St. Paul public schools that helps at-risk grade school children develop reading skills. In addition, he sits on the Business Advisory Board of the Carlson Consulting Enterprise at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business.

Bruce holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in international relations and an MBA in finance and corporate strategy from the University of Michigan (Ross) School of Business.
