Luis Gabriel Merizalde Vice President; Managing Director, Australasia

Merizalde became managing director of Australasia in 2006 where he currently oversees the Australian and New Zealand businesses and has responsibility for many brands in the region including: Latina, Old El Paso, Betty Crocker, Pataks, Pecks, Frescarini and Nature Valley.

Merizalde joined General Mills in 1999 as regional vice president, Latin America and South Africa. Prior to joining General Mills, Merizalde’s career spans over two decades in various leadership positions within the foods industry.

Luis is a 1973 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
