Dan Malina Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

As senior vice president, corporate development, Dan Malina has direct responsibility for mergers and acquisitions, strategy development, and assumes the finance lead for acquiring external capabilities through acquisition, joint venture and licensing.

Malina joined General Mills in 1998 and was integral to the creation of General Mills’ current growth strategies. Since joining General Mills, Malina has led numerous acquisition and joint venture efforts of various food companies, including the acquisition of The Pillsbury Company, which doubled the size of General Mills, Small Planet Foods, LÄRABAR, and Uncle Tobys.

Malina earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and MBA from Loyola University in Chicago.

Malina is also on the board of directors for the Minnesota Opera and the Chicago Advisory Board of L.E.K., a management consulting firm.
