Share Your Inspirational Story for a Chance to Appear on a Curves™ Cereal Box

New Curves™ Foods offers a community of support for real women making real changes

09/26/2007

Whether it’s feeling happy looking in the mirror or having the energy to enjoy everyday activities, weight-related success comes in all sizes. This Fall, Curves Foods is calling on all women to share their inspirational weight management stories through the Real Change, Real Women contest for a chance to appear on Curves Cereal boxes nationwide and win great prizes.

The Real Change, Real Women contest is not about how much weight women have lost, it’s about what motivated them to commit to a healthier lifestyle.  Women can enter the contest at the Curves Foods Web site, www.CurvesFoods.com, where their individual stories can help inspire countless women struggling to reach their own weight management goals.

Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress and Days of Our Lives star Judi Evans, who publicly struggled with weight management for years following the birth of her son, encourages women to make a change for good.  “Losing weight was difficult, and I’ve found weight management to be just as hard,” she says. “Through its new line of nutritious cereals and snacks, community of support and the Real Change, Real Women contest, Curves Foods is making it easier for women to take weight off and keep it off.”

The Curves Foods Web site offers a community of women committed to leaving crash dieting behind.   By logging on and creating a personal profile, women will have access to a support group like they may never have had before.  It’s free, simple and right at their fingertips.

“We’re excited to build a community where women can embrace long-term weight-management and share their personal experiences with each other,” said Arya Badiyan, marketing manager for Curves Cereal at General Mills.  “New Curves Foods can help women on their journey with a sensible combination of nutritious and great tasting cereal and snacks.”

Curves Cereal and Curves Chewy Granola Bars from General Mills, as part of a healthy lifestyle, are designed to help women take weight off and keep it off.  The products offer a wide variety of nutritional benefits, like fiber to help curb hunger and whole grain to help manage weight.

The new Curves line of weight-management foods consists of:

 Curves Cereal:

  • Whole Grain Crunch
  • Honey Crunch
 Curves Chewy Granola Bars:
  •  Chocolate Peanut
  •  Strawberries + Cream
Both Curves cereals are 190 calories or less per serving and provide an excellent source of whole grain.  Studies show women who eat a diet rich in whole grain tend to have healthier body weights and also gain less weight over time.

Curves bars, at 100 calories and five grams of fiber per bar, make it easy to increase daily fiber intake and can help women keep on track with their weight-management goals. Curves bars are also a good source of calcium, a nutrient that falls short in most women’s diets.
