Taking this course has been one of the best classes that I have ever taken. I feel that this course has taught me so much about the different programs on the computer. Children in the twenty first century are growing up with some very advanced technology and I want to be able to have and use this technology in my classroom.  I think one of my favorite programs that was used was the photo story 3. I love taking pictures and now I have another place to put them, besides making scrap books all the time.  I also like using google sites, it was so easy to make a web quest and I think it would be easy to teach the students how to use it. Some of the other programs that we used were Nvu, Microsoft office, and Microsoft Publisher. The other thing that I really liked was that we did projects using Microsoft office. This was really great because I use Microsoft office all the time to write papers, so learning more about what there is on Microsoft office will really help me in the future.

During this semester there were a few frustrations that I had but nothing I couldn’t fix. In the beginning of the semester I had a hard time remembering how to link everything together. So I went to our professor’s office and asked for help. It wasn’t long before I was on my own and linking pages together. I must say that I am very glad that I went there in the beginning of the semester because if I didn’t I would have fell behind. There were several projects that I would like to do with my students one day. I would like to use the google sites and nvu, so the students can make their own web pages or a school web page.

During this semester we worked in groups and individually. I really liked having the groups for some of the projects. So for my students I think I would have them work in groups and individually. The individual projects are just as good because you get to use your own ideas and create the page the way you want it. When the students work in groups they we have the job of assigning each member a part of the project that way every one is evolved.

I can’t wait to do different technology projects with my class. I think the class will love working on the computers. Plus they will get to design their own websites and working with technology has showed me that you can make some really cool gifts for family and friends, so I think the students will have fun doing that.
