Project #3
Annotation
To create
our
WebQuest Inquiry we first made a template homepage for the
WebQuest. We used Netscape composer and made a table to set
up this page having the links horizontally on the left side which
connect to various pages within our WebQuest. The sections we
included were an introduction letter link, a friends and family link, a
home link, a biome link, a problem link, a solution link and a contact
link. Then we created seperate pages for each link using Netscape
Composer. We each saved our own page we created to our USB and
then uploaded it using WFSTP. Once everyone in my group uploaded
their information we went to each memebers' website and copied their
page information to Netscape Composer, linked it to the webquest
inquiry homepage and uploaded it to WFSTP. Our WebQuest was
created by Jenn, Jamie, Liz, Alessandra
and Adrienne, myself. WebQuest Inquiries can be useful
tools in an
elementary classroom. It serves as a way to present information
that is highly structured because it allows you to break up the
information on seperate pages but still have them link to the homepage
of your project. Students can also insert images to enhance the
learning process. Also, you can have students seperate into groups and
do research on a problem and use a WebQuest to present their
information. This is very helpful because after students have
presented their research others can go to that groups' webquest and
experience it themselves. This type of tool in technology can be
very useful and fun especially when incorporated in the
classroom. It allows presentations to be structured and
organized.
