Project
#4
Annotation
The purpose for project four
is to create and publish a powerpoint. I had previously created a
powerpoint for my Social Studies class which was a Virtual Tour.
I used Microsoft Powerpoint to create mine. My virtual tour
includes information on Niagara Falls, images and includes websites
that the students can click on and actaully go to view it, making them
feel like they are actually there. Powerpoints can be used to
present information in an organized and creative way. PowerPoint
is a very useful tool for elementary classes. Students can create
powerpoints to present research projects that include images, text,
animation and sounds and then present it in front of their class.
This enhances learning. I, as a future teacher, can use powerpoint to
present a new topic to my class in a creative and organized way which
will keep the students' focus. A "good" powerpoint presentation
includes a light background and darker text so its easy to read, use at
least 6 bullets per slide with clear and concise sentences. A
"poor' powerpoint presentation lacks images, is hard to read due to
color choice, has long paragraphs on each slide making it confusing and
has images covering text . I believe powerpoints are an
excellent resource that assist in student learning.
