When I first came into the course EDU 314: Teaching with Computers in Elementary and Secondary Schools, I was extremely nervous.  I did not have a strong background learning with computers; which I thought would make this course even harder for me.  However, I am pleasantly surprised at what I was able to accomplish.
    Since the beginning of this course I feel that I have grown a lot in my level of comfort with computers.  The technical skills that I have picked up from this course have really surprised me. One thing I have learned to add animated pictures to my web page.  I think this really brings the page to life; I know it will be especially appealing to my future students.  One other major accomplishment that I have made is learning how to link web pages.  At first I was unable to comprehend which pages I needed to link in what order and make sure that everything could be traced back to the home page. Now that I know this, linking is the easiest thing to me.  
    I found that the NVU System and WS_FTP is really easy to learn.  The one system that I found difficult was the Microsoft Paint Program used to make our crossword puzzle in project #3.  I am confident on how to create the puzzle and make a link to the page in word, however, learning how to use the paint program to display the picture on my annotation page was really difficult.  
    When I began this course I was really interested in learning how to do Power Point.  I know Power Point is a system that I would use a lot as a teacher; and a continuing college student.  So, I was disapointed when we didn't learn it.  Now that I have more confidence with the computer I may be able to figure out the Power Point myself.  
    I can't really pick just one thing that was important in this course.  I think the entire course itself is important.  The fact that I am able to create my own website is such an accomplishment that will help me get a job in the future.  Some of the projects that I know I will use in my future career are the brochure, the school website page, puzzle maker and the web quest.  I also think that the digital storytelling project would be one to use as a learning center.      
    Throughout the course, some projects could be done with a partner or a team.  Not that I don't enjoy working with other people, but I thought transferring the information to all the members' computers to be uploaded on their website would be difficult.  After talking to others in my class who did work in a group, they agreed it was difficult.  
    After completing all the assignments in this course I am very pleased with all my accomplishments.  The only thing I regret in the class is that we didn't learn Power Point. As a teacher, i know that all my projects will help me in the classroom to make it a fun place for my students.
