Reflection 3

Objective 3: Developed an appreciation of the various ways children think mathematically as well as the skills to analyze and build upon children's developing mathematical understandings.

As math night was one of my first teaching experiences, it gave me a chance to reflect on how I performed as a teacher. Through the interaction with students and their parents I gained experience in working with parents and students with a math based activity. The thorough review in my math night reflection proves that I have developed an appreciation of the various ways children think mathematically as well as the skills to analyze and build upon children’s developing mathematical understandings. This reflection is proof because it required me to analyze and build upon the math night experience.
