"What is the greatest sign of success for a teacher? It is to be able to say, 'The children are now working as if I did not exist.'"-Maria Montessori

For project #2, we formed groups to create an Elementary School website.  Because it could be based on a real elementary school or simply a made up one, we decided to use both these aspects.  One of my group members took images from her elementary school webpage and used its name and school colors.  Another group member had a school calendar and daily schedule from Barry Elementary School that we used as an outline for our pages.  After each of us created a page, we ended up with a homepage, a calendar, a daily program, a lunch menu and references for our site.

First, we assigned individual pages for each group member to design.  Then we decided a font size and color and background color so that our pages would look uniform.  I designed the "daily programs" page by centering the text and using "bold" and "italics" to make certain words stand apart from others.  I added images that I found on Google under "gym" and "art" to relate to the page and put the other pages' links on the bottom.
The most difficult part of this project was linking our separate pages together after we were done composing them.  We all saved our pages to the desktop we were working on, and then saved all the pages on each of our flashdrives.  From there, we found that we couldn't all see the images because they weren't all saved on the flashdrive.  Therefore, we had to go back and save the images also, and then upload them to one of the group members' webpage.  This group member made the links work and linked them to her URL.  To get this site to link to the rest of the group's homepages, we saved the final product on the desktop and then saved this to our flashdrives.  Once I had the content, I linked the project to the project page of my website.
