Project 8 Reflections on the Learning Experiences of the Technology Course
This course was
much more practical than conceptual. I knew how to do many of the
tasks before they were taught to me, but they helped me to practice and
hone those skils. Of the things i knew how to do before this
class were puzzle making and paint shop, Microsoft word projects
, microsoft publisher projects, and Google sites. Though I knew
how to use these programs this class certainly helped me practice and
get more efficient with them. I really believe that these
applications will be the most useful tools for me as a teacher. I
can build pamphlets, news letters, worksheets, websites, and much more
with these programs.
I did know much
of what was taught in this class, but that does not mean i didn't
learn. In fact I learned quite a bit. NVU was a completely
new program to me. I did not even know it existed until this
semester. Due to the extensive amount of webpages we created
using this tool, I now feel very proficient in NVU. I knew how to
create websites on Google, but found Google to be confusing and
glitchy. After taking this class, I am much more comfortable with NVU.
I can now create webpages, add pictures, and create links to
websites and documents. Another program I was unfamiliar with was
Photostory. I had heard of this application, but had never used
it. This was my favortie project by far. Putting together a
group of photos with my choice of music, animation, and commentary was
very fun.
Over all this class was useful and not
overburdening. I learned and obsorded enough informtation to make this
class very worth while. If I had not already known much of the
informtaion in this course, it certainly wouild have taught me a lot.
For those who are not at all technologically savvy this class
would be a very informative introduction to what can be done with
minimal computer experience.
