Welcome to My Philosophy Page
I believe that...
- as a teacher you have the opportunity to change a child’s life.
- every educator is responsible for providing children with the best teaching practices they are capable of.
- every child is unique in their own
way. Each student develops at a different rate, learns different and
are motivated in different ways.
- a child must have confidence and self-esteem.
- I can change the student's classroom experience.
- teaching for the majority of the students will leave some students behind
- the most important thing a teacher can do is to get to know their students.
- teachers need to be able to be flexible to all students needs.
- differentiation is the new way of teaching.
- assessment like instruction can be varied so all students needs are met.
- a school is a part of a community.
- being a teacher is as much about learning as it is about teaching.
- every teacher has something for an aspiring teacher to learn.
- in a student-centered classroom.
- in giving the students choices for assignments.
- a school is part of a community.
- that every child can learn as long as they are provided with the opportunity.
-the minds of children are placed in
the hands of a teacher, and I know it is the responsibility of that
teacher to mold the minds to the best of their ability.
Please take a look at the attached assignment which elaborates on each of the above statements.
