For this project I created a Wordart Acrostic and a page
with a watermark and border using microsoft word. To make the
wordart acrostic I looked online for describing words corresponding
with the letters in my name. To make it look more interesting I
wrote it all with different types of word art. The other part of
this project was to create a page with borders and watermarks.
For the watermark I uploaded a photograph from the computer and
set it as the background. You can play with the size to either
have it just in the middle or to cover the whole page. For the
border I used one of the choices given on the computer but I changed
the color to match my watermark.
The skills I learned from this project will be very useful when I become a teacher. the wordart acrostic poem will be very useful at the beginning o f the school year. It is a creative and fun way for children to get to know eachother and for the teacher to get to know their students. wordart can also be used for many other things like handouts, posters, and worksheets. Being able to use watermarks and borders will make handouts and letters sent home to parents much more interesting and visually appealing.
