For project four, we were given the option to create our own word poem. For each letter in my name, I have chosen an adjective that describes me. I am very familiar with using MS Word, therefore it was fairly simple for me to complete this task. The one new thing I learned was how to move words around on a page, such as setting the layout of the Word Art to square. This allowed me to move the words to any position on the page.
This new trick that I have learned has allowed me to create more easily worksheets and activities that I have had to prepare for lesson plans in my other classes. As for the word poem, I think it is a good idea to use in the classroom to get students to know one another in the beginning of the year. Students can pair up with another student and share their word poem and why they chose the adjectives they did to describe themselves.
