Field Trip Information:
The EMS ESL students will be taking a field trip to Apple Hills
(Green Brothers) Farm, and orchard off route 11 in Chenango Bridge. We will be going on Thursday April 20th. The bus will leave shortly
after school begins that morning and will return in time for lunch.
The
itinerary of the trip is as follows:
8:30 Tour of Apple Orchard and other fruit and berry fields via hay ride
9:00 Explanation and demonstration of process of making apple cider
9:30 Storyteller featuring Johnny Appleseed and other stories set during settlement period
10:00 Demonstation of donut making and snack of donuts and fresh apple cider
10:30 A visit to the animals on the farm: goats, sheep, donkeys, ponys, etc.
10:45 Load the busses and retun to school
Permission slips will be sent home with students two weeks in advance. Or, if you have a "parent password", click here to fill out a permission slip online.
**Permission slips must be received by Monday April 17th**
