The includes everything around us: where we live, work, go to school, and play! Because we rely so heavily upon it, we need to take good care
of it.What can you do? We all create garbage, and therefore we all have the ability to do something about it. Look around you, and you will see tons of ways to make
less reuse, and recycle more stuff at home and at school. You can even compost your food scraps!
The following are just a few examples of how you can practice the Four Rs every day:

• Reduce. It's simple! Using less stuff means there is less produced. For example, replace Styrofoam cups with real reusable cups.
•  Reuse. Use items or find a new use for an old item. For example, refill your drink bottles and reuse paper for art projects.
• Recycle. Put materials in the so companies can make new products from them. Glass bottles can be made into new bottles and your old homework paper can be used to make new toilet paper!
  
  • Compost. Compost your food waste and yard scraps. Composting is nature's way of materials that can  into a rich soil amendment (in other words, really good dirt). 
• . Buy materials made from recycled products and close the loop. Look for school supplies, such as notebooks, folders, binders, or post-it notes made with recycled content. Also be on the look-out for common household products such as cereal boxes (gray on the inside) or toilet paper made with recycled content.
