Annotation

The purpose of this project is to learn how to create my own website.  In order to do this I had to work with two different programs.  One of these programs is called NVU. NVU is a program where I had to create my web pages.  I first began with creating my homepage, then a projects page, and finally a project 1 page.  After making these pages I used horizontal navigation to construct links.  Once I created these pages and links, I then had to use a program called WS_FTP to publish these pages.  I published my web pages by navigating through the program and transferring the contents of my EDU 314 folder into the other box.  After this was done I then made sure that my pages were published by opening Internet Explorer and typing the URL of my website.  I think that by learning how to create a website I can use this information and create one for my students in my classroom to look at and navigate through.  I can set up pages about their assignments that they have to do, online quizzes that they can play with, study guides and such.  I think that in today’s society technology and computers have become very important and beneficial to individual learning.  Therefore I think that my students would enjoy and learn something from my any websites that I create for them.
