(Tips: try to answer each question by Yes/No; if it works, it would be Yes/no question, if not, it is Wh question. OR you can also look for the beggining word in each sentence which start with letters "WH".)

  • Wh questions always start with Wh words, like what, when, where, who, which.
  • The form of yes/no questions is "Be verb + subject" ("Are you from French?") or "Auxiliary +subject + main verb" ("Do you come from French?").
  • The form of subject question: Wh- word + verb + object, for example: What makes you so happy?
  • The form of object question: Wh- word + auxiliary + subject + verb, for example: What does your dad work?
