Making Your Own Clock |
What makes learning more fun is to make your own clock. Take out a paper plate, the crayons, a pencil and a black marker. Follow the steps below to make a beautiful clock. |
Step 1 Fold the paper plate into 4 sections and open it; Draw the major markers (12, 3, 6, 9) on the folding lines
Step 2 Write other numbers on the plate and mark the minute lines between each two numbers Note: there should be 4 minute lines between each two numbers; try to mark them with the same distance between each other
Step 3 Draw a line from the center of the clock (where the two folds cross) outwards to each of the 12 hour markers. Color each pie slice with different colors.
Step 4 Use a crayon to act as the hour hand. Move it around the clock and read it, like "it's__ o'clock"
Step 5 Use a pencil (longer than your crayon) to act as the minute hand. Move it around the clock with the "hour hand" and read it.
Step 6 If you like, you can list the times like bedtime, breakfast time, school bus time on the paper, and move the hour hand and minute hand to show these times to your parents and friends. |
